In this project, we preent the design and implementation of a WiFi controlled robot utilizing the ESP8266 NodeMCU microcontroller. The objective of this project is to develop a versatile and easily accessible platform for remotely controlling a robot through a WiFi network. The ESP8266 NodeMCU serves as the brain of the robot, providing both the processing power and the WiFi connectivity required for remote control. The robot is equipped with motors for movement, and its actions are controlled wirelessly via a custom-designed mobile application or a web interface. The mobile application or web interface communicates with the ESP8266 NodeMCU over the WiFi network, sending commands for controlling the robot's movement. The commands can include instructions for forward, backward, left, right movements, as well as speed adjustments. To achieve this, the ESP8266 NodeMCU is programmed using Arduino IDE, leveraging the ESP8266WiFi library for WiFi connectivity and motor control libraries for controlling the robot's movement. The communication between the mobile application or web interface and the ESP8266 NodeMCU is established using TCP/IP or UDP protocols. This project provides a cost-effective and accessible solution for building WiFi controlled robots, suitable for educational purposes, hobbyist projects, and prototyping applications. It enables users to explore the capabilities of the ESP8266 NodeMCU microcontroller and the potential of WiFi-based remote control in robotics.
