Ultrasounds (US) represent a non-ionizing form of a mechanical wave characterized by reduced adverse impacts compared to traditional cancer therapies or surgical interventions. In this investigation, Chlorophyll was employed as a natural sonosensitizer, substituting synthetic counterparts, to mitigate potential organ toxicity associated with nanoparticle usage. Specifically, gold nanoparticles were conjugated with Chlorophyll (designated as AuSP NCs) to elicit a sonodynamic response. The efficacy of this approach was evaluated on B16 melanoma cell lines as a model system. We synthesized AuSP NCs with a mean size of 70±10 nm. These AuSP NCs are proposed for application as sonosensitizers in treating Melanoma. This novel strategy integrates the distinctive properties of gold nanoparticles and Chlorophyll to augment the effectiveness of cancer therapy.
