BACKGROUND The World Health Organization estimates that high cholesterol will result in 2.6 million deaths, or 45% of the population, and 29.7 million people will require modern treatment, like statins. People utilize fibrates, niacin, bile acid sequestrants, and inhibitors of intestinal cholesterol absorption to treat dyslipidemia. To treat dyslipidemia, lipid-lowering drugs must be taken for a lengthy period. They have some restrictions and are contraindicated in hepatic and renal issues due to their adverse effects, including abdominal pain, constipation, leg cramps, headaches, and Dizziness.
