The article is devoted to a German-language cartoon covering the events of the Middle East conflict. A group of cartoons is chosen in which the direct participants in the military confrontation, as well as third countries, act as the object of evaluation. The authors conclude that the cartoonists evaluate pejorative the actions of Israel and Hamas, without giving preference to either side and expressing sympathy for the civilian population of both regiones. It is stated that the axiological vector of cartoons dedicated to third countries is evident and exposes them as the true stirrer-up of the current political situation. A number of cartoons describe the positive role of the United States as a mediator in the settlement of the conflict. It is established that the negative evaluation of the European Union is due to the lack of a clear position and the inability of the EU member states to come to a common point of view regarding the actions of Israel and Hamas. In most cases, the evaluation is formed due to the interaction of the verbal and visual components of the cartoon.
