Globalization inevitably leads to the spread of human knowledge about the world and the transfer of this knowledge between cultures – intercultural knowledge transfer. Knowledge transfer can be carried out using different means and in different ways. The study of linguistic means of knowledge transfer allows us to deepen our understanding not only of the processes occurring in language, but also to track shifts in the consciousness of the speakers of the linguistic picture of the world as the recipient of knowledge transfer. This article proposes a definition of intercultural knowledge transfer, and also points out the possibility of knowledge transfer using neologisms. The work also provides an analysis of neologisms that appeared in the Russian language in the 21st century: the main sources of borrowings and spheres of human activity in which neologisms appear most actively are considered.
