The article analyzes the structure of nominative units, discusses the main ways of forming hotel names, their originality and semantic specificity. As a result of the study, groups of ergonyms were identified according to the method of formation, nomination trends were identified, and functional characteristics were determined. It has been established that in the Spanish onomasticon the predominant types of hotel ergonyms are names containing toponyms and anthroponyms. When creating a name, the nominator is guided by various motives: the name of the institution may reflect the location or features of the area, contain an indication of architectural monuments, may be motivated by the name of the owner, or indicate the date or era of the organization’s creation.
