Specifics of the Scientific Study of Communicative Interaction

The paper deals with communication as a process of continuous adaptation of the Internet communication participants. The present research focuses on studying the peculiarities of communicative behavior of communication participants on the Internet forums. The paper attempts to study the principles of communicators’ interaction in the Internet forums and chat rooms, as well as to determine the adaptation mechanisms employed by communicators in the process of communication and the conditions of their realization. Given the non-linearity and flexibility of communication on the forum, the communicator has to realize a new and unfamiliar format of communication. In order to study this type of communication one has to rely on a methodology that has the potential to describe such dynamic objects. In fact, this task can be solved with the help of the theory of autopoiesis, according to which adaptation seems to be a condition for the successful coexistence of the system and the environment.
