This article the issues of the implementation of monetary penalties against some participants in criminal proceedings are considered, suggestions are made on the expediency of increasing its size, the problem of distinguishing the specified measure of procedural coercion from proceedings in cases of administrative offenses is raised. The current legislation of Russia is analyzed, as well as the opinions of scientists, the experience of foreign rulemaking is given, and judicial practice is studied.
