A wireless network refers to a group of devices that communicate with each other using radio frequencies to transmit and receive data. When it comes to networks optimizing the use of limited resources and improving the quality of service are key concerns. One major challenge, in achieving the desired quality of service is call blocking.Call blocking occurs when a base station doesn't have any channels to allocate for an user. There are two types of blocking; new call blocking, which happens when new calls are unable to connect and handoff blocking, which occurs when ongoing calls are interrupted due to user mobility. As network traffic increases the likelihood of call blocking also increases significantly. To address this issue we propose implementing a guard band call admission control policy. This approach incorporates an acceptance factor that determines whether new calls can access channels or not.The acceptance factor takes into account factors such as signal strength, user priority, network congestion levels and historical usage patterns.Analytical results demonstrate that our proposed scheme performs better than the new call bounding scheme, in terms of performance metrics like call blocking probability (CBP) and call dropping probability (CDP).
