The concept of smart homes is becoming more present due to the IoT applications popularity. Technology and communication development leads to smart ambient parameters monitoring and control. In this paper, sensor node based on ESP microcontroller will be proposed. Node is developed to monitor and control temperature, humidity, and lighting of the room. It is integrated with mobile and web applications using MQTT communication protocol. This enables users to have insight in ambient conditions, but also to have possibility to control these parameters by remotely turning on/off proper devices. System is low-cost, simple and reliable solution.
