The objective of this study is to investigate the significance and influence of ethical concepts found in the Tao Te Ching on the field of professional ethics education.The paper commences with an introduction to the Tao Te Ching, followed by an examination of the importance and difficulties associated with professional ethics education.Furthermore, it delves into the ethical principles expounded in the Tao Te Ching, encompassing the concept of Wu Wei (effortless action) in moral governance, the vital role of virtuous conduct and moral development, as well as the interplay between moral governance and professional ethics.Subsequently, the challenges posed by the Tao Te Ching to professional ethics education are analyzed, including the integration of real-world scenarios with ancient wisdom, the navigation of contemporary ethical dilemmas, and the delicate balancing of personal interests and societal welfare.Moreover, the paper explores the opportunities afforded by the Tao Te Ching for professional ethics education, such as the extraction of value from ancient wisdom, the promotion of critical thinking and selfreflection, and the cultivation of comprehensive competence and moral consciousness.Ultimately, the study concludes with key findings.
