Text Analytics on Sumatra Economics

This study aims to determine the map of the development of research on the theme of Sumatra's economy published by indexed journals. The study was conducted in September 2020. The data analyzed were 494 research publications. The object of study is published scientific articles. The data were then processed and analyzed using the R Biblioshiny application program to determine the bibliometric mapping of the development of economic research in Sumatra. The results showed that the number of publications on this theme experienced a significant increase. The most popular keywords are Sumatra, di and Indonesia. The findings of this study indicate that the most popular topics used in this research theme are 'food security and agricultural transformation' and 'MSME development, tourism and the creative economy'. The research topics that need to be further developed are 'digitalization of the economy, e-commerce, and financial technology' and 'empowerment of the pesantren economy and strengthening the competitiveness of the halal industry'.
