The tendency to incorporate heterogeneity in bus dynamics for designing resilient and efficient power system has received increasing attention in recent years. This paper introduces novel passivity-short-based conditions to ensure system-wide stability and guarantee L <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf> gain performance in power system with heterogeneous bus dynamics and nonlinear coupling. At first, we show the decomposition of the power system. By leveraging passivity indices and passivity-short-based property, the proposed framework offers a comprehensive approach to evaluate the system-wide stability of the power system. Additionally, we extend to evaluate L <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf> gain performance via passivity indices, offering insights into the robustness of the power system. A power system simulation with 3 typical bus dynamics is illustrated considering the load change to demonstrate the efficiency of the presented conditions.
