This communication focuses on the design and evaluation of a feed network for a slot array antenna using Gap Waveguide (GW) technology. The key innovation lies in integrating a single-layer amplitude-tapering network into a Half-Mode Groove Gap Waveguide (HM-GGW), resulting in a compact structure. This design holds great promise for applications requiring high gain and minimal interference. The primary objective is to feed an array and thus achieve a reduction in sidelobe levels compared to uniform arrays. What distinguishes this approach is its cost-effective potential for additive manufacturing, which simplifies fabrication and enhances practicality. This work underscores the significance of this technology in modern wireless communication systems, particularly in the millimeter-wave band, and emphasizes the potential for mass production.
