Medicinal plants are all around us but due to a lack of knowledge and awareness, we fail to identify and utilize them for treatment of diseases and waste such valuable resources. In this paper, we recognize medicinal plants using their leaves and analyze their properties. For leaf recognition, Yolov7 is used and sample data for 4 plants is trained on the model. The leaves trained are Amla, Neem, Tulsi, and Aloe Vera. An accuracy of 87% is achieved. Further, we plan to identify diseases for which the recognized medicinal plant can be used for treatment and a combination of medicinal plants to cure that disease.
