This study introduces a novel microstrip antenna designed for UWB applications, featuring an elliptical-faced monopole patch with an integrated feed line. The antenna has a bandwidth from 2.9 - 11.9 GHz, considering Return Loss values below -10 dB. Fabricated on an FR-4 substrate with dimensions of 26mm x 26mm x 1.6mm, the substrate has a dielectric strength <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">(εᵣ)</tex> of 4.7. The UWB antenna design was executed using CST Studio Suite Software, employing a transmission line model based on characteristic impedance. The investigation scrutinizes essential parameters such as substrate dimensions, feed size, and ground plane, aiming to understand their impact on the antenna's performance across the frequency domain.
