In recent years, the demand for high performance circuits have substantially increased. Traditional passive inductors lack to obtain both the optimal performance and compact size. Therefore, active inductors were developed to provide the benefit of tunability and enhanced performance measures. This paper suggests a reconfigurable active inductor with better performance measures and high-quality factor. Active inductor is implemented using 65 nm process at 1.2 V supply voltage. The proposed active inductor shows an inductance value of 1.4 nH, quality factor of 718.7. The self-resonant frequency as high as 30 GHz is obtained at a power consumption of 0.8 mW. The process corner analysis is performed, and the performance is analyzed at worst corners. Reconfigurable active inductor at low power consumption can be used for radio frequency integrated circuits.
