This paper explores essential parameters in Large-Scale and Small-Scale fading in wireless mobile communication. Small-Scale fading, represented by the Nakagami-m model, and Large-Scale fading, involving Log-Normal Shadowing, are analyzed. The study evaluates the performance of Selection Combining (SC) under dual-branch diversity, providing a closed-form Mean Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) Gain expression. This enables a comparative analysis of Small-Scale and Large-Scale fading, offering insights into complex multipath shadowed environments. Additionally, it underscores the advantages of combining techniques in enhancing channel quality within real-world fading scenarios.
