This paper proposes the integration of 5G New Radio (5G NR) with a 4G core network, specifically focusing on its implications for voice call applications. The main goal is to create a smooth link between a current 4G core network and a distant device, showcasing how 5G NR can revolutionize modern communication systems. Expected results include much faster data speeds, noticeable decreases in delays, and an overall better connection. To achieve this, we use simulation with Network Simulator-3 (NS3), to analyze the integration process to control the packet losses. NS3 plays a crucial role in our project by helping us create realistic models and simulate various scenarios. we can assess the network's performance in a more robust way under various conditions. Our work provides practical insights into the adaptability and advantages of 5G technology in different applications. It highlights the importance of futuristic network architectures. Our work serves as a valuable resource in advancing communication technologies, bridging the gap between theory and the practical implementation of 5G NR into existing 4G core networks.
