The industrialised world is putting more money into electrification projects and charging infrastructure as a means to achieve the worldwide net-zero emission objective. The release of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere is mostly attributable to the transportation sector. Transport fueled by fossil fuels is the world's second largest source of carbon dioxide emissions, according to a research by the International Energy Agency (IEA). Clearly, EVs provide a potential way to cut down on carbon dioxide emissions. The proposed smart transition technique locates optimal EV charging stations to verify minimum. The power system has been significantly impacted by the rise in electrical usage. Slow adoption of Plug-In Electric Vehicles (PEVs) has been seen in a number of nations owing to issues such a lack of charging infrastructure and lengthy wait periods. This thesis provides a smart charging scheduling method for electric cars using Vehicle Ad Hoc Networks (VANET) to address the need for an intelligent scheduling system.
