The article reviews challenging aspects of the use of computer intelligence methods in practical activities of law enforcement authorities that include the use of software for deanonymization of a criminal, collect information on the technical device used by an offender and its content, which is related to gaps in the statutory regulation of activities of policemen in charge of crime solution and investigation. The legislative regulation of computer intelligence will enable quick and efficient performance of official operational tasks of solution of crimes committed with the use of information and communications technologies, imposed on interrogation authorities.
