Experimental study demonstrates real-time 4K full-color rainbow hologram generation on a standard PC, highlighting a practical pathway for consumer holographic displays.

Key Points

Full-color 4K rainbow hologram generation reaches real-time performance on a standard PC, enabled by converting object points into truncated line sources.
Display rates reach approximately 50 frames per second for 140,000 object points, reconstructing vivid full-color imagery using a single spatial light modulator.
A line source approximation reduces two-dimensional diffraction calculations to one dimension, accelerating computation despite sacrificing vertical parallax.
