This paper aims at analyzing social justice aspects through Confessional Education (CE), as it is presented within the Brazilian National Common Core Curriculum. After carrying out document analysis and bibliographical research, it was identified that CE as a school discipline allows Basic Education students to develop attitudes such as empathy, sensibility, and respect toward others, which might help decrease historical social inequalities inside and outside the school environment always respecting the principle of secularism.
