As far as language teaching and learning is concerned, material development signifies a role which cannot be ignored and the whole process of material development includes various steps such as the selection, adaptation, and creation of teaching materials and it is a very intricate procedure (Nunan, 1991). It is important to remember that these materials should cater to the needs of the targeted audience and the larger context of language learning, including the philosophical, cultural, and psychological aspects of the stakeholders.
