Demonstrating Runtime Microservice Rescheduling in Hybrid Clouds for Cost Minimization

The migration of software applications to the public cloud unlocks a number of advantages, such as flexibility and elasticity, that can be tampered by an inappropriate and inefficient usage of computational resources producing uncontrollable Operational Expenses. In this work we experiment with a cost-aware rescheduling algorithm and show how its integration with Kubernetes in a hybrid cloud environment can yield relevant advantages in terms of cost savings.
