Gene therapy has emerged as a promising avenue for treating genetic disorders, cancer, and other diseases by introducing therapeutic genes or modulating gene expression. However, the success of gene therapy critically depends on efficient and safe gene delivery systems. This review explores nanomicellar formulations with biosurfactants for innovative gene targeting. Traditional gene delivery systems face issues in safety, immunogenicity, and efficiency. Biosurfactants not only enhance the biocompatibility of the carriers but also contribute to their sustainability. T Nanomicelles, self-assembling nanoscale structures formed by amphiphilic molecules, provide a promising solution. They offer small size, high surface area, and encapsulation capabilities for precise gene delivery. The inclusion of biosurfactants enhances biocompatibility and sustainability. This review covers nanomicelle formation principles, biosurfactant features, and gene delivery applications, along with recent advances and challenges. The synergy between nanomicellar formulations and biosurfactants has the potential to revolutionize gene therapy for genetic disorders, cancer, and regenerative medicine, promising precise and safe solutions for improved human health.
