The problem of security is analyzed taking into account the postmodern transformation of the concepts of “human”, “society”. The main focus is on the correlation of the understanding of the security problem with the understanding of the “Other”. It is shown that the understanding of security in postmodern culture goes beyond the usual understanding of the problem of threats and dangers. At the level of the conceptual understanding of security and the cultural and anthropological analysis of security as a phenomenon, the question of the subject’s relationship with the “Other” in its various guises is raised.
