This study investigated the abatement of nitrogen oxide (NO) and the photocatalytic oxidation of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) simultaneously. Pd/TiO2 photocatalyst was applied to evaluate the variations in performance under different temperatures and VOC concentrations. A pilot-scale reactor was employed to feed VOCs into the photo-irradiated NO system. The results indicated that appropriate VOC concentration and light intensity could significantly enhance the removal of NOx. Moreover, increasing the reaction temperature within a certain range could enhance the efficiency of photocatalytic degradation. The study assesses the impact of NO/VOCs coexistence on overall removal efficiency.
