Green cloud computing is a recognized field of study. It grew in popularity due to the rise in demand of data storage which is the consequence of the exponential boom of data. Cloud computing has produced an impressive way to virtualize servers and data centers and to make them energy efficient, all the while maximizing different IT resources. The enormous power and energy consumption of IT resources has a negative impact on the environment, causing problems such as energy shortage and climate change. Therefore, Green Cloud Computing is required in order to provide solutions that can reduce operating costs while maintaining the energy efficiency of IT resources. Green IT is regarded as a crucial step in the journey to finding the solution to the environmental problems in the field of information technology.
