After the Republic of Azerbaijan embarked on the path of independent development, among the main economic goals of the state, the development of small and medium-sized business institutions that stimulate the balanced development of regions and the strengthening of the middle class, and the continuous improvement of the level of people's employment and social welfare were included.For this purpose, a number of normative acts adopted during the past period and the implemented promotion policy are already bearing fruit.Purposeit is to study the state policy implemented for the development of micro, small, and medium entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan and to determine the share of these entrepreneurial entities in the formation of a number of key indicators of the national economy.Methodologythe article referred to the works of local and foreign scientists, legislative acts, as well as official state statistics.Content analysis, analysis, and synthesis, as well as comparison and generalization methods were used during the research.Study Findingsfor 2018-2022, a significant increase was recorded in other main macroeconomic indicators of micro, small, and medium enterprises, except for investments directed to fixed capital.
