The article examines the relevance of reforming the agricultural waste management policy existing in Ukraine. It is shown that the outdated methods of waste management in all branches of the economy, above all, in agriculture, have led to an increase in environmental pollution, the dominance of the "linear" model of production, and the technological backwardness of waste processing and disposal operations. It was determined that radical changes in the policy of handling agricultural waste at the state, regional, and microeconomic levels are necessary, which meets the requirements of the world society regarding the greening of all economic processes. The positive results of the formation of the institutional and legal framework of the new waste management policy, which will ensure the transition to a "circular" model of production, are shown. The theoretical and methodological significance of the concepts of "green", circular economy, recycling in creating the theoretical foundations of the modern innovative model of waste management is emphasized.
