3D modeling in the substation design process is crucial, however, at present the main means involved still stays in the manual application of computer to complete manual modeling. Aiming at the current problem of low efficiency of substation 3D design, this paper proposes a new type of 3D collaborative design technology for substations. Firstly, on the basis of feature extraction accomplished by ORB algorithm, feature matching is accomplished by improved RANSAC algorithm. Then the Bundle Adjustment (BA) is improved based on Slid Window (SW) and Pose Graph (PG) for the SLAM back-end nonlinear optimization problem, so as to obtain the improved SLAM algorithm. Finally, simulation experiments are conducted on the proposed improved algorithm using real scenario dataset. The results show that the improved algorithm can ensure the accuracy and running speed of substation 3D model design, and can successfully realize efficient and accurate substation 3D modeling.
