Field evaluation demonstrates accurate agricultural machinery tracking on a smart farm, indicating improved management efficiency and reduced operational costs.
Addressing the challenges faced on the farm, such as labor scarcity, inefficient management, and outdated information technology, we've developed a smart farm remote monitoring and management system tailored to meet the specific business needs. This system, leveraging BeiDou satellite positioning and Internet of Things technology, centers around core resources like people, property, and capital. Based on its functionalities, it's divided into subsystems: the data communication subsystem, data analysis subsystem, monitoring subsystem, and background management subsystem. To precisely gauge the area of agricultural machinery operations and evaluate their quality, we've introduced a trajectory point status recognition algorithm grounded on k-nearest neighbor. By establishing an electronic fence warning algorithm, we can standardize the operational scope for drivers.tests have shown that this trajectory point status recognition algorithm boasts a 96.17% recognition rate for subsoil penetration operations, with an average accuracy of 94.95% for different types of operations. This meets the requirements for trajectory monitoring on the farm and provides a solid foundation for operation area calculations. The system can determine accurately whether a trajectory point falls within the electronic fence, generating daily warning reports and promptly pushing them to the farm administrator. This effectively standardizes the driver's operational scope, reducing the operational costs on the farm. With its high concurrency and throughput, this system has been successfully implemented on a farm in Guangdong Province, offering features like management of fundamental resources, real-time monitoring of agricultural machinery operations, and precise statistics of operation information. This research not only enhances the comprehensive management level and efficiency of the farm but also plays a pivotal role in advancing the modernization of agricultural construction.
