In this paper, the analysis of the main causes of accidents in the Russian electric grid complex from 2018 to 2022 was carried out on the basis of annual summary information on technological violations and annual reports of the c PJSC "Rosseti" branches. It is established that one of the key causes of failures of electric grid facilities is the impact of climatic factors. A statistical outages analysis of the climatic causes in power grid system was carried out for all voltage classes from 0.4 kV to 110 kV. The territories of activity of PJSC "Rosseti" where the greatest influence of climatic factors is observed are highlighted. It was carried out the estimates of accident rate of certain climatic factors influence on power grid facilities in the context of the regions of Russia.
