Enhancing painting efficiency is crucial for optimizing production time, demanding both precision and expertise. Addressing this necessity, the present study proposes an automation system employing smart relays to facilitate a swift and seamless painting process. Employing a research and development approach, the researchers conducted observations, designed and developed the automation system, performed comprehensive testing, and ultimately implemented the tool. The outcomes demonstrated that the automated painting system, regulated by a limit switch and two solenoid valves, achieved considerable time savings, with an average reduction of 3 seconds per painting cycle. Moreover, the automated process exhibited a notable reduction in paint consumption, with a decrease of 2 grams compared to the manual painting procedure. In summary, the developed tool effectively streamlines the painting process for car wheels, delivering substantial time and cost savings.
