In this paper the problem of purification of oily waste from power generating enterprises are considered. To increase the purification efficiency and reduce energy costs, a combined electroflotation device with separation of flows of the liquid being purified is proposed. Based on previously conducted experimental and theoretical studies, a device calculation method using Ksenofontov multistage flotation model and Faraday's laws of electrolysis is proposed. Using the proposed method, the calculation of an electroflotation device with and without separation of flows of the liquid being purified was carried out. It has been established that flow separation will reduce the area occupied by equipment and energy costs by 10-15%. Based on these calculations, a combined electroflotation device of an original design was developed and patented.
