This paper presents a model built on ASPEN PLUS software to determine the output parameters such as temperature and composition of synthesis gas for steam reforming. The graphs of synthesis gas output composition dependence on the working pressure and temperature in the reformer were plotted to determine the optimum conditions for steam reforming. The simulation results were analyzed and the optimum ranges of reformer operation were determined, at which the maximum mole fraction of hydrogen formed and the minimum level of carbon formation were observed.
