The relation between “Soviet” and “Russian” may be viewed as a derivative of two ideologically formed narratives that claim to become the principal legitimacies of the institutional system. While assessing this correlation one should take into account the infl uence of these narratives on the mass consciousness structure and their interconnection with sociocultural and civilizational roots of the national social development. But due to the inner heterogeneity of the narratives in question, their principals are hardly connected with the moral and ethic aspects of the social development that form the basic ground of Russian civilization and need doctrinal adjustment and moral components reinforcement
