Environmental perception and target detection are important application scenarios for radar. Millimeter wave radar is a commonly used target detection method, which is a radar technology that uses the millimeter wave frequency band for measurement. It has the characteristics of high resolution, high precision, and strong anti-interference ability. This paper provides a detailed introduction to the working principle of millimeter wave radar and designs a rotating target velocity measurement experiment. In the experiment, this paper measures the speed and rotational speed of the constructed rotating target and evaluates the accuracy of millimeter wave radar speed measurement.
