Sensor nodes are usually dense in Wireless Sensor Network (WSNs); it is possible that during sensing an event redundant data will be detected. To reduce communication cost and save energy, intermediate nodes removes neighbour node's redundant sensor information. In WSNs energy consumption of sensing devices should be minimized as energy conservation is a key issue. In order to save energy, data aggregation and fusion are exploited. A novel In-Network Aggregation for Data Routing (INADR) is proposed for reliable and secure routing, that use limited number of messages to setup the path and also maximizes the transmission rate by multipath routing. Based on average distance of the event coordinator, waiting time for aggregator nodes is devised. The proposed work is compared with Information Fusion-Based Role Assignment (InFRA) and Shortest Path Tree (SPT) algorithms. This algorithm enhances reliable data communication through its route repair mechanism. By employing a limited number of messages for path setup, it optimizes transmission rates through multipath routing. Additionally, it maximizes aggregation points and reduces communication costs. It is proved that the proposed algorithm provides the best aggregation with consuming less energy during communication through simulation.
