Thermochemistry: what are the students' learning difficulties?

This study aimed to identify the main difficulties presented by students in learning the content of Thermochemistry. The difficulties presented in articles and magazines were analyzed, from 2012 to 2022. A questionnaire was also produced covering the main difficulties observed by teachers and sent to 39 students from a state school in the Serrana Region of Espírito Santo. With the data obtained, a comparison was made between the difficulties presented in the literature and the difficulties presented by the students interviewed. It can be observed that both converge in lack of mathematical basis and lack of contextualization of the content.
