This study: Consolidates the results of load tests conducted on three suspension bridges in Taiwan. Takes into account the latest research literature. Integrates operational procedures and guidelines for suspension bridge inspections. The primary contribution of this research lies in proposing a method to determine the slackness or over-tightening of suspension cables using field load test results combined with numerical simulations as a basis for maintenance decisions. The results of this study are expected to be applied to suspension bridge inspections, aiming to enhance efficiency and inspection outcomes.
