Emerging technologies are causing a major transition in higher education in an era of rapid technological growth. This essay examines the various ways that emerging technologies are affecting higher education, including how they affect inclusiveness, accessibility, student participation, and teaching and learning approaches. It also looks at the difficulties that institutions and teachers have when putting these technologies into practice and how they can change the face of higher education. Using a mixed methods research approach including surveys, interviews and document analysis, the study shows that the widespread use of new technologies in higher education drives academic achievement and engagement effective but there are still issues with privacy, policy and training. The study also examines the significant impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on technology adoption and identifies ways in which future technologies can be integrated into higher education.
