This research determines how gustatory predicates impact neurolinguistic suggestibility, indicating significant roles in advertising and artistic discourse.
The aim of the study is to determine the neurolinguistic nature of gustatory predicates as relevant markers of the influential potential of textual planes. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were accomplished: the phenomenon of neurolinguistic predicativity was described; the predicative markedness of gustatory vocabulary was proven; the neurolinguistic specificity of gustatives was explained; their role in the formation of influential expansion was characterised. The object of this article is gustatory vocabulary, and its subject is its neurolinguistic specificity. The source base of the study consists of works by Ukrainian writers, with approximately 200 gustatory terms serving as factual material. The article uses both general scientific methods (descriptive — for characterological qualification of factual material; analysis and synthesis — for detailing and further generalisation of the results obtained; quantitative analysis — for determining the priority indicators of factual material) and special research methods. Among the latter, component analysis is used primarily to determine the semantic structure of the analysed units; the predicate identification method is used to visualise the relevant components of the semantic structure of gustatives; and the Milton model identification method is used to establish their suggestive potential. The study proved that gustatory vocabulary is one of the most important components in creating test suggestibility due to its predicative constancy, which almost always involves visual or kinesthetic marking. This, in turn, activates neurolinguistic mechanisms for the most active perception of such vocabulary, enhancing its influential potential. It has been established that the predicative priority of gustative perception is taste and visual modality, but in mediated interactions it can act in combination with the olfactory and, less frequently, the auditory segment. Among the current discursive presentations of gustatives, advertising and artistic discourse show the highest activity, where gustatives maximise their influential potential. We associate the prospects of the study with expanding the range of analysed vocabulary presented in various genres of discourse, as well as conducting an in-depth psycho- and neurolinguistic analysis of its perceptual specificity.
