Bibliometric analysis reveals AI's impact on financial literacy in various sectors, suggesting significant advancements in education and decision support.
The application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the finance sector has attracted the attention of academics. Nevertheless, little review research has been conducted on the correlation between financial literacy and AI. By employing RStudio and VOSviewer, this investigation conducted a literature review of 35 studies published between 2019 and 2024 from Scopus to identify the most influential countries, institutions, sources, documents, and authors about this topic. The findings indicate that the implementation of AI in financial literacy is a rapidly expanding and significant field. The co-occurrence network of keywords revealed two distinct clusters: financial decision support and financial education, and financial literacy and consumer behaviour. In addition, we discovered that AI has the potential to significantly enhance the education quality (SDG = 4) of financial decision-making, expand financial literacy education, and influence consumer financial behaviours. These results offer key insights for technology developers, policymakers, and educators regarding the potential of AI to enhance financial literacy.
