This study aims to investigate the effect of giving papaya juice on increasing breast milk production in breastfeeding mothers at TPMB Sofianah, Malang City. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi experimental design and a one-group posttest method. The study population consisted of 2–8-day-old postpartum mothers with insufficient breast milk production at TPMB Sofianah, Malang City. The research sample consisted of 20 mothers selected using the purposive sampling technique. For 7 days, the experimental group received 600 grammes of papaya fruit juice per day, while the control group received no intervention. The results showed a significant increase in breast milk production in the experimental group compared to the control group. This research concludes that consuming papaya juice can be an effective alternative to increasing breast milk production in breastfeeding mothers who experience problems with insufficient breast milk production.
