Analysis reveals moral values influence social work ethics and community well-being, suggesting deeper impact of responsibility and solidarity.
The issue of values is inseparably related to the human being and constitutes defining elements for social life - inner realities that cannot be directly observed but only through their manifestations, identified both through behaviors and especially through attitudes. Values in social work encompass both the needs, desires, and aspirations of professionals and those of the community - to be respected, to be free, or to be in solidarity. These moral values, also known as logical values, are generally related to the society in which we live. Based on moral values, it can be determined whether a person exhibits appropriate behavior or not. Of great importance for professional ethics, including social work ethics, are values such as responsibility, honesty, freedom, justice, solidarity, cooperation, trust, mutual respect, and others.
