Research explores ice containment optimization in airfoils using a reduced-order model and Kriging method, indicating improved aerodynamic performance.
This paper mainly carries out the relevant research work on the airfoil ice containment optimization design. Firstly, a reduced-order model for rapid prediction of ice shape of parameterized airfoil is established. Then, the optimization design method based on Kriging surrogate model is introduced, and the basic framework of airfoil ice containment optimization design is established. Examples are selected for ice containment optimization design. The results show that the aerodynamic characteristics of the airfoil in the clean state and after icing are improved through the ice containment optimization design.
