Comparative analysis reveals alkali metals shift anodic potentials positively, suggesting reduced corrosion rates.
The results of a comparative study of the effect of lithium, sodium and potassium on the anodic behavior of the aluminum conductor alloy AlTi0.1 in the medium of an electrolyte NaCl are presented. The studies were carried out by the potentiostatic method in the potentiodynamic mode at a potential sweep rate of 2 mV / s. It is shown that the modification of the aluminum conductor alloy AlTi0.1 with lithium, sodium and potassium contributes to the displacement of the potentials of free corrosion, pitting and repassivation to a positive range of values. The corrosion rate of the aluminum conductor alloy AlTi0.1 decreases by 10-20% when modified with 0.01-0.5% (wt.) alkali metal. The chloride ion concentration in the NaCl electrolyte increases the corrosion rate of the alloys and displacement to negative values of electrochemical potentials.
