In the article, the authors have analysed the scientific research on the effectiveness of correctional and developmental technologies use in working with children with autism spectrum disorders of the senior preschool age. It has been determined that children with thisnosology require a special approach based on international standards and the development of effective methods of correction and training. It has been established that modern methods of psychological and pedagogical correction of autism spectrum disorders lack unambiguity andconsistency in terms of technologies and methods that would contribute to the effective correction of autism spectrum disorders.The content of the “autism” and “autism spectrum disorders” concepts is revealed, which indicate the peculiarities of children’s mental development with autism spectrum disorders of senior preschool age. The peculiarities of using correctional and developmental technologies to improve the level of speech, cognitive and social development of children with autism spectrum disorders of senior preschool age are determined. It is noted that a keycondition for the formation of cognitive readiness is the use of ABA therapy, TEACCH, PRT, PECS, DIR Floortime, and sensory integration.It has been proven that TEACCH and PECS programmes offer a clear algorithm of actions (visual cues), stimulate thought operations and develop speech activity; ABA therapy improves concentration, memory development and shapes learning behaviour; PRT promotes motivation, self-management, and DIR Floortime forms and develops play activities andsocialisation of children with autism spectrum disorders of the senior preschool age. The imagination formation and perception of the world around us takes place in the process of sensory integration classes. It has been proved that the use of correctional and developmental technologies in correctional work with senior preschool children with autism spectrum disorders is an important factor in the realisation of their personal potential and social adaptation. The results of the study can be used as a basis for the further development of effective methods and programmes of education and correction for children with autism spectrum disorders.
